Flexible Support for Safer Prone Positioning
The ProneAid Head Holder is a unique, bed-mounted head cradle with replaceable, moisture-wicking foam pads that support the face and airway during prone positioning. Its adjustable platform is designed to extend the bed, reduce pressure injuries, and fit universally across ICU beds.
Used in the management of ARDS and other critical respiratory conditions, ProneAid helps clinicians reduce pressure injuries, prevent airway complications, and simplify patient repositioning using a patented open design and vertical adjustability to promote frequent facial repositioning.

Reducing Risk through Increased Mobility
ProneAid works by extending the head of the bed to create a safe, stable platform for unobstructed access to the head, face and neck during prone patient positioning. The ProneAid head holder is securely held in-place between the bed frame and mattress by the weight of the patient and mattress. By providing a platform that is independent of the mattress and moves with the bed, the head of the bed can be elevated or lowered to promote ventilation, tube feedings and pressure relief.

Reducing Risk through Increased Mobility
Prone positioning saves lives—but it also brings challenges. Facial pressure injuries, airway dislodgement, and caregiver strain are common concerns in intensive care.
Unlike traditional head holders that prevent repositioning, ProneAid is uniquely designed to combat facial injuries caused by immobility. ProneAid prioritizes head and neck MOVEMENT, allowing unlimited facial repositioning during a proning treatment.
Developed with input from ICU physicians, nurses and respiratory therapists, ProneAid was created to address real challenges in critical care.
Every feature reflects a focus on patient safety, skin integrity, and pressure redistribution helping ICUs deliver higher-quality care, day after day.
